Ways of Giving

Avenues graciously accepts gifts to honor or memorialize a loved one, or to commemorate a special occasion.

Your memorial not only pays tribute to the named individual, but also helps support the men and women in Avenues residential and employment programs, as we ll. All honorariums and memorial gifts are acknowledged in writing to whomever you would like notified.

Your gift will also be recognized in the agency's Annual Report.

For additional information, please contact Vice President of Development Michele Shoolin at 847.292.0870 ext 116.

Matching Gifts: A Double Bang for Your Buck
Many corporations match the gifts their employees give to non-profit and charitable organizations. Sometimes the policy even refers to gifts from spouses and retirees.  Please contact your company's human resource department for additional information on matching gifts.

IRA Contributions
When demonstrating your generosity to Avenues, please be aware that if you are over the age of 701/2, funds transferred from an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) are tax free if the money is donated directly to Avenues. THIS FEDERALLY-MANDATED PROGRAM IS IN EFFECT ONLY UNTIL THE END OF 2007. Please consult your financial advisor and take advantage of this extraordinary giving opportunity.
