On the Move

John uses a wheelchair, and has limited functions in his arms. At Avenues, that is not an issue. When he first arrived here, he went to work in our supervised workcenter where he earned a paycheck. He later moved to an Avenues home in Des Plaines that he now shares with four friends.

Thanks to a generous donor, John has an electric wheelchair and more freedom than ever.
