Nothing is impossible, because I’m possible

These six words mean the world to Thrift Shoppe employee John Kelly. Coined by manager Michael Frustini, John has really taken these words to heart while working at the Thrift Shoppe the last three years.

This mantra has also motivated him to try new things, and he recently joined Toastmasters to improve his public speaking skills. John has already noticed a difference, and his favorite speeches are ones that include jokes since they make people happy.

“I talk more,” says John, which he feels has made him a better salesman. The more talkative John feels comfortable going up to customers in the store with his catch phrase “make me an offer.” John knows the value of what he is selling and enjoys friendly bartering, as he consistently tries to increase sales each month.

John’s favorite job is socializing with the customers. He makes sure to greet everyone and remembers most of the regular customers by name. When the Thrift Shoppe volunteers get ready to go home John always thanks them for volunteering.

Independence is very important to John and he proves that by working five days a week, driving himself to work, and choosing how to spend his pay check.

While John has come along way at the Thrift Shoppe, he has big ambitions and says there is a lot more ahead for him. We couldn’t agree more.
