Due to the increasing concern regarding Covid-19, Avenues has restricted all outside and internal activities of our residents, staff, board and volunteers. No visitors will be permitted at any Avenues residential location. The Avenues Center for Independence in Wheeling and our Thrift Shoppe in Chicago will be closed until further notice. To assure that we will be able keep our residents safe, we will be sending staff members from the Center for Independence to our homes to ensure that all of our residents’ needs are being met.

As you may already know, the Coronavirus COVID-19 is in Illinois and cases have been diagnosed in towns around the Chicago area. However, it must be stressed that no evidence of Covid 19 have been disclosed or diagnosed among any participants, families, staff and others associated with Avenues to Independence.
